Audacity Forum

Hi,

Here is my problem. I´m using a TSM microphone and a preamp to record audio, but in audacity i can´t hear what I have recorded. I also use Reaper and it works fine. It´s only in Audacity i got this problem. Also the mixer tool bar is disabled and i cant figure out why.

The problem is that ASIO is not supported in Audacity. Unless you can either use Windows drivers (WDM, MME, Direct Sound), or build Audacity from the source code and compile in ASIO support, then it will not work properly. Direct Sound is supported in recent versions of Audacity 1.3 but not in 1.2.x
