Hello,
I'm really hoping I can get some help. I use 1.2.6
I was just about finished with a very large project. I saved the project and closed. When I try to reopen:
Error: Unclosed Token At 8160
In the data folder, a number of the audio files appear to be missing. I still have all the temp auf files and the .bak file. Is there ANYTHING I can do?
Thanks.

Re: Recovery After A Crash?
We may need to find out why the project crashed. Sudden Computer Insanity can be caused by filling up your hard drive or hosting a virus. How big is your drive and how much is used up? Hard numbers are good. "Enough" doesn't tell us anything.
If we don't at least get a clue why it crashed, then the show rescue will crash, too.

Over six hours?

Re: Recovery After A Crash?
It's an older Hp with a small 40Gb HD. There was only 2.83 GB free. I didn't know there was such little space left, and I'm guessing that had something to do with it. The project was about one hour long, but probably 8-10 stereo tracks.
When I start audacity, it tells me that there are temp files that I can recover manually.
Thanks.

I've freed up almost 7GB.

Crash Recovery
http://audacityteam.org/wiki/index.php? ... shRecovery
These tools are most useful when the computer becomes unstable or halts during a long recording. In your case, you had a contention between the operating system and Audacity for drive space. If enough of the show is damaged or files go missing, the tools may not be able to bring it back.
Stereo shows crank through about 700 MB per hour and with UNDO and effects needs, can get into the one and two gig easily.
I do shows on similar machines, but you do need to pay attention.

Re: Recovery After A Crash?
Thank you. I guess my only remaining question is...
Is there any procedure through which I can recover the show from the auf files in the directory:
C:Documents and SettingshomeLocal SettingsTempaudacity_1_2_temp
if not, I'd say I'm out of luck, since a lot seems to be missing from the project's data folder.
Thanks again, your time is appreciated.
