Hey everyone,
I'd like to apologize ahead of time if this is a simple question, but I can't seem to find the answer to it.
I'm using a mic that does not require a pre-amp, and i'm plugging it into one of the microphone slots on my laptop (it's pink, it's beside green plug for headphones).
Audacity is only picking up the built in PC mic, and not picking up the microphone with attachment to fit into the microphone input on the PC. I can record fine with the built in microphone to my PC, but for some reason I can't enable the desired microphone for use.
I've also tried running it through a mixer, and then the microphone into the pc. The microphone is still not being picked up or does not seem to be detected

The Windows Control Panel determines all the sound management in a PC.
