hopefully this hasnt been addressed already, as i am new to audacity and an amatuer with recording. after i record a track and am rehearsing for, or recording the next track, i ocasionally hear a LOUD hissing or white noise sound that lasts for about 1 second. its rather random as it may happen a couple times per playback or sometimes not at all. anyone have any suggestions?
i'm on windows vista, playing through line 6 podxtl as an interface, through headphones. thanks for input.
great software. no problems hooking up with my pod.

Your USB may be intermittently loosing its connection. USB is dependent on the availability of your processor so avoid stressing the processor by asking too much from it. Avoid running other programs at the same time as Audacity and shut down any non-essential processes.
