aup to wave file

Post by vidchuck » Tue Dec 08, 2009 9:56 pm

I want to make a WAV file from .aup. Audacity file
When I go to file and select export or export selection all I get is a window that says Edit Metadata. There is no drop down or any thing else in this window that points to a WAV to select. I downloaded Audacity two times thinking some drivers were missing. Now my files are missing.

So how do I make a WAV file ?

When the metadata window comes up, press the OK button and it will vanish. You can change the Audacity Preferences so that window will not pop up next time.

Edit > Preferences > Import/Export > Export Dialog (near the bottom).

And just a note. AUP isn't a sound file. It's a Project Manger -- it's programming language. That file in addition to the _DATA folder and any other music you imported into your show are the actual Project. It could be thousands of files.

The first time you get one single sound file that you can email to your mum is when you Export one.
