Audacity Forum

My language sets to this by default every time I open Audacity.... even though I set it back to English.

Any ideas on how to stop this?

Upgrade to Audacity 1.3.10

If that does not immediately fix the issue;
Close Audacity
Find the hidden file "audacity.cfg" and open it in a text editor.
Delete everything except the first line"NewPrefsInitialized=1"
Then save it
Restart Audacity

The default location for "audacity.cfg" is:
Windows XP : Documents and Settings<user name>Application DataAudacity
Windows Vista and 7: Users<user name>AppDataRoamingAudacity
