I had a power failure during a recording. I used the audacity recovery utility and it seems to have worked. However, the playback of the recovered file is super fast. What is going on?
Many thanks for your help -
Brian

Re: Fast playback after file recovery
Where did you get the music for the original work? Live recording or "borrowing" from the internet?

Re: Fast playback after file recovery
This isn't music - it's a recording of a sermon. The sermon is playing back extremely fast after recovery.
Re: Fast playback after file recovery
I suspect that the recovered track may be set to the wrong "sample rate".
Try Clicking on the name of the track, and from the drop down menu select "Set Rate", then choose a smaller number than the one currently selected.

That worked! Thanks fiddle. Now, if I could only figure out how to combine "recovery file block 1" and "recovery file block 2" ...
