I click Export, I get Metadata.
So, I'm done with a recording. I saved it as an Audacity file, and now I want to export it as a different file type. But when I click Export in the File Menu, I get the "Edit Metadata" box. How do I fix this?

Re: I click Export, I get Metadata.
You can just OK the metadata dialog.
If you're really using Audacity 1.2, you need to change the type of exported file in Audacity Preferences. If you're in Audacity 1.3, you can pick the type of export (WAV, MP3) in the export step after the metadata dialog.
By the way, you didn't Save an Audacity "File." Audacity doesn't save music files, it saves projects which are collections of many files and folders. To get one music file you have to Export one.
