Hey, stalepie here.
I was just trying to copy and paste a mono track onto a stereo track and I noticed that it only pasted it into the left channel. Is there a way to get it to paste onto both channels of the stereo track, or do I have to turn the mono version into stereo (artificially) and THEN paste it onto that stereo track to keep the stereo track (at that part) from only coming out of the left speaker?
Because that's what's happening. I paste it onto the stereo track and then that mono file only starts coming out of the left speaker. And I just kind of find that annoying.
Thank you.

Upgrade to Audacity 1.3.9 (or wait a few weeks and upgrade to Audacity 2.0).msd wrote:I was just trying to copy and paste a mono track onto a stereo track
(Audacity 1.2 is ancient and lacks many useful features that are now available).
In Audacity 1.3.x you just move your audio clips along the time line (with the Time Shift Tool) to where you want them, and no need to copy / paste.
It's a "help" forum in which Audacity users help each other to get the most out of Audacity.msd wrote:What kind of a forum IS this...
