Hello,
I just purchased an E-MU 0404 USB audio interface so I could start recording with a better quality mic. When I first hooked it up I was able to record and playback in Audacity using the interface; but now for some reason it is not recognizing it. When I attempt to record or play in Audacity I get a message telling me to check my input device and sample rate. I have checked to make sure that my E-MU 0404 is selected in Audacity as the device for recording/playback, and the sample rate on device & in Audacity set to 44100Hz.
Theoretically it should work! The only thing that has changed since I last used... I installed Sony Acid Music Studio 7. Could this be somehow interfering? Acid Music Studio isn't really cooperating either, I get WAY too much distortion and can't figure it out. I would like to stick with my favorite, simple program Audacity!
Any help/info would be appreciated!

Possibly - it may have "upgraded" the sound card drivers.amye36 wrote:I installed Sony Acid Music Studio 7. Could this be somehow interfering?
Can you go back to a Restore Point from when Audacity was working?
