Hi all - have also posted this elsewhere.
No luck with recording into Audacity since installing Windows 7 last week.
Audacity was working fine under Vista 32bit on a Dell with SigmaTel.
Am currently running Audacity 1.2.6
Trying to record from "line in" is now giving me:
"Error while opening sound device. Please check the input device settings and the project sample rate".
Have fiddled with all settings to date but no joy.
Anybody else had this and solved it ?
Cheers
LarryGT
line in no longer working under Windows 7
Forum rules
Audacity 1.2.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.
The final version of Audacity for Windows 98/ME is the legacy 2.0.0 version.

I am having similar problems as you at the moment in Windows 7 where I couldn't record what sound was coming through my speakers...please have a look and see how you go with it.
Good luck...please reply and let me know how it goes.
