Audacity Forum

After I installed 1.2.6 I have experienced problems typing in Word or otherwise (on this forum for instance). Sometimes when I type the fonts do not immediately show, or don't show at all.

Possibly I made a mistake by personally executing the exe file instead of copying the exe file and the dll file to my programs directory.

I'm using Windows XP. I'm not completely sure if the typing woes are in any way connected to Audacity, but since it is the last program I installed and the problems started immediately for now suspicion is on Audacity. I have uninstalled Audacity but the problem remains.

Rather than re-formatting my HD I wonder if there is anyone out there who might know how to solve this annoying problem.

Sudden Computer Insanity can be caused by filling up your hard drive.

From memory now, I think it's Start > My Computer > Right Click C: > Properties. You should never have more than 90% of the hard drive filled up and some computers start to slow down at 50%.
