soundfly mp3 files

I have a wonderful little device called soundfly pro. (Cost me €15 on a market stall. made in the far east - Korea I think) You plug into its USB port a mp3 player or even a flash stick & it transmits mp3 & other sound files to any FM frequency. It works on the car cigarette lighter & even transmits data such as file name, artist, which displays on the radio screen like RDS radio data (usually for radio station name & info). But why won't it play the mp3 files I create in audacity? They play on other mp3 players, ipod, zen, etc., & on my PC in iTunes & other media players. I tried both id3v1 & id3v2 tags in Audacity but neither works. I tried using different bitrates but I don't really know what I'm doing! Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. I'm using audacity 1.2.6. LAME 3.93, PC with windows XP.

Musicalyouth,

I have yet to burn my first compatible "MP3 CD", but I was searching through Google and noticed this thread: MP3 CD problem. Read the thread. It suggests that some MP3 players won't support VBR, and/or a high bit rate such as 192 kbps or higher.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for that link, jademan. I will have to check over my mp3 file details to see what works & what doesn't.
