I am trying to edit a wav but can't seem to play it or save/export it. When I try to play it playback starts but then immediately terminates after a fraction of a second. Exporting produces a zero second file. Editing itself seems to function, though without playback it is hard to tell.
The file plays fine in Windows Media Player.
Thanks,
Ken
playback stops after one-half second

Re: playback stops after one-half second
Audacity doesn't recognize most of the highly compressed internet file formats. You'll need to convert the file in Super or Switch to WAV which Audacity can understand.
