I really need beginner help with the VOCODER

okay, so i was looking around this website for like 2 hours about vocoders, and i still have no idea what im doing. i want to take my friends voice and auto-tune it with the vocoder or however you do it. but what am i supossed to do with that big code? i need like step by step instructions from installing(correctly) into audacity, and i also need like details on how to use it, and what i should set the numbers at and stuff, thankkksss :geek: also, which vocoder is best? i am so frustrated with this, lol.

You probably need AutoTune software not vocoder. Vocoder makes your voice sound like a musical instrument...like this.

AutoTune makes you sound like you know how to sing even if you don't.

hmm what can i use as an autotune device on audacity? is there a free one?
