Hi, When I record music on audacity and play back , The sound is very clear and sharp , then I export it to wave so I can write to disc with Nero . but the sound is distorted and scratchy when played on media player. Am I doing something wrong or is it normal. any help would be appreciated

I'm thinking that if you take your exported wav file and import it into a new Audacity project, it should sound OK. If so, then check your project rate. For burning to a CD, it should be 44100.
