I have an 800 mb WAV file that I want to split up and burn to CD, what is the best way to go about this with Audacity 1.2 in XP?
I'm struck with teh stupid today, the Wiki tips aren't helping me.
Thx

Audacity 1.2.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.
The final version of Audacity for Windows 98/ME is the legacy 2.0.0 version.

Re: Best way to split up a large file
All you need to do is to place a label at each track break - use the Ctrl-B shortcut - and don't forget to place a label right at the beginning for the first track.
Then use Audacity's Export Multiple command (available from the File drop-down) to export a multiple set of WAVs to burn to CD with your CD burner. BTW: do use good quality CD-R discs and not CD-RW discs - and do create a Music CD not a data CD.
