i have a new computer, and am unable to download audacity. I get a message that the operation is aborted, and then that the page is unavailable. I am running windows XP, and have telus security. I am assuming that there is nothing wrong with the audacity site, so it is some setting in my computer. I would really appreciate some help with this, as I use audacity to record my drum classes from a cassette recorder and then export as wav files for the use of other members of the class.

Do you have the original ZIP files from the other install? Can you download the zip file on another computer, burn it to a data CD and walk it over?
Do you have trouble downloading anything else?
It does sound like your virus software doesn't like this web site. Most software like this gives you the ability to let things through that you know are OK. Does this one?

Thanks for responding. I haven't had any trouble downloading anything else, although I haven't downloaded much yet, just Skype and a couple of other things. I could try to download it on another computer at work, do I just need the zip files? I don't know too much about computers, but I did get into the firewall where you can enter exemptions, but I must not haved typed in the right thing.
