Folks,
I'm using Audacity with a Delta 44. In the Audacity preferences section, I have assigned Audacity to Delta 1/2 inputs and outputs. It works great. However, at times, I'll have another application open also assigned to the same inputs and outputs; often, when I try to record or playback, Audacity will lock up and not respond. Note that I'm not recording or playing back both applications at the same time: one is being used and the other is merely open.
I'm using Audacity on XP Pro. M-Audio assures me that the Delta 44 supports multiclients. Could someone please help me with this.
THANKS!!

Oh, the Delta does. but Audacity doesn't. Audacity likes running in really simple machines and only supports one sound device.

Re: Delta 44 and Audacity
Thanks for the info. I'm very new to all this, so please excuse my "basic" questions. Okay, so if I'm correct, Audacity can be the only application open that uses the sound card? If I open second application that uses the same soundcard, I'm going to have issues?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: Delta 44 and Audacity
It's worse than that. If you open up anything that uses sound services, you could get instability. Search the forum for problems with "Skype."
