Greyed out box at top

Hello,

I downloaded 1.2.6 on a new (old) computer. The box with the dropdown right underneath the "Fast forward track button" is completely greyed out. On my other computer, there were numerous choices there such as "Wave out mix," and that's the only one I can remember. Can anybody help me on what to do?

Just saw the message about Vista, but I'm running 2000 Professional. Will try and search the archives since I know what this box is called now.

This new (old) computer was actually found on the sidewalk, and someone removed the audio drivers which I just installed, and now I got the Mixer Toolbar back! Love it when I solve a problem myself! Thanks for the good karma! ciao Seteeet
