I've tried a few things and can't seem to figure it out.
Audacity won't recognize the LAME plug-in. When I try to export a file as an mp3 it tells me, "Could not open MP3 encoding library!" I've pointed it to the lame_enc.dll file, but it gives me the same message. I've also tried setting up the mp3 encoder through preferences, but the mp3 info keeps telling me the exporting plugin isn't found.
I've uninstalled and reinstalled both Audacity and the LAME plugin. I've put the plugin in its own folder, the audacity folder, and the plugin folder. Nothing seems to work. It's bugging me because the last time I had Audacity installed, I didn't have this problem. I'm currently running Windows XP.
Has this happened to anyone else, and does anyone know how I can fix it?
Thank you.
