I have been using Audacity for three weeks to record our Church's Sunday Message. Before I had a chance to save the project, an error occurred and the message came up that the files were not saved but could be retrieved. I was able to locate the file, however there are over 1,200 files that need to be added. Not wanting to do this, I am hoping there is a way to select all files and somehow restore the project. The files appear to be retrieved in the correct order. The down side is one track is voice while the other is instrument. Any help would be appreciated......

An Audacity Project consists of the AUP project manager (not a sound file) and about a million capture snippets which, as you're finding out, aren't really good sound files, either.

You can sometimes put them back together with the crash recovery tools.

I was able to use the recovery tool and it worked perfectly. Both tracks were restored and with a few copy/pastes, I was able to do my usual editing.

Thanks!!!

You may find it advantageous to upgrade to the Beta vn. 1.3.8 - 1.3.x has MUCH better recovery handling.
