Individual Tracks from One LP (newbie question)

Post by Rydell » Sat Oct 27, 2007 10:30 am

Hello, First time user here. Thanks for any help! I want to record a full LP from Audacity then save as a MP3 file but have access to each track from the file? I have installed *lame.enc.dll* & installed into my win/system file. Is there a topic within the forum or a link to a help file explaining the procedure. Basically I want to be able to access a individual track from a LP saved as a MP3?

You will need to export it as a set of MP3 one per track

All you need to do is to place a label at each track break - use the Ctrl-B shortcut - and don't forget to place a label right at the beginning for the first track.

Then use Audacity's Export Multiple command (available from the File drop-down) to export a multiple set of WAVs, MP3s or whatever.

The Audacity Wiki, Documentation and Turorials have much useful information on how to do this - a recommended read - http://audacityteam.org/help/
