Failure Saving MP3 files

Post by JohnPH » Wed Aug 12, 2009 10:17 pm

When trying to save multiple MP3 files (from an old LP) after recording I occasionaly get the message "unable to open target file for writing." I am unable to find an explanation for this in Audacity documentation. Can anyone tell me what's happening here?

Thanks

Are you by any chance using non-standard characters in your track/song names - inparticular avoid characters like / and : - it's often easiest and safest to stick to purely alphanemeric plus underscore - this will give filenames that should be portable across all operating platforms.
