I.E. cannot open the Internet Site

When I try to download audacity at:
Internet Explorer cannot open the Internet site
http://sourceforge.net/project/download ... -1.2.6.exe
Operation aborted
Not sure where that problem lies......

I am having the same problem, and am not sure if it is the firewall in my new computer, or a problem with audacity. Have you heard anything?

According to my web browser, Explorer is blocking the site - as an imposter site.

I have tried turning off protection within Explorer but without success. So far, no member is jumping in with a solution.

I went to the following website and pressed the download button.

Once I started downloading audacity (beta version for xp and Vista), I still got the “site is blocked" message. However, afterward I was able to right-click the yellow bar at the top of page and select “download” file. I now have the beta version installed. Hope this helps.

I have had no luck with download.com so will try the site that epauley suggested. I am not too impressed with the underwhelming lack of response except for a couple of members. It is so frustrating as I used audacity daily on my old computer.

I was able to download the beta version. What is the difference? I see that I cannot open the save audacity files from my old hard drive, different version I guess. The sound wave appears as a straight line with a few little bumps on it. I'll have to play around with the settings.
