My program crashes as soon as I open it

Hi. No it was working for years and then it stopped all of a sudden. I have Windows XP.

oh...

Does it give any error warnings? Have you recently installed any new software or hardware (particularly a new sound card or virus checker)? Are you running any new programs in the background?

I doubt a virus or worm would cause Audacity to crash (without also causing other horrible things to happen), but it can't hurt to check.
