I have the same problem with recovery.
The computer crashed during saving the project.
Now I only have the temp files left (approx. 3000 files)
If the files could be replaced into a new project it would be fantastic.

The desperate one!

Unfortunately recovering broken projects is rather hit-and-miss.

Fortunately Audacity 1.3 is much less likely to trash your project than older versions, so I would recommend upgrading to a more recent version. Audacity 2.0 is due for release very soon, so that could be a good time to upgrade.
