can't hear music when singing

can't hear music when singing

hi i have put a mp3 track on audacity but when i sing i can't hear the track in the background to sing along to .....can anyone please help me with this.....thankyou :roll:

You have likely turned off "play other tracks while recording new one" in Audacity's Edit -> Preferences -> Audio I/O menu.

Alternately (though much less likely) you've changed the output device to something that has no speakers plugged in.
