Audacity Forum

So, I have used audacity for a few years now.
i had an older version and it was working fine.
i just decided to get 1.2
and when i try to playback, i hear nothing.
the cursor isnt even moving,
it stay at 0:00.
maybe im just having a brain fart.
help please?

You had a version older than 1.2? Wow, that's old. We are generally advising people to get the 1.3 version.

The problem is probably that you do not have the correct device set for either Record or Playback in "Edit > Preferences > Audio I/O"

I would recommend trying Audacity 1.3
