Audacity 1.2.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.

The final version of Audacity for Windows 98/ME is the legacy 2.0.0 version.

Control from a separate program

Post by RadioGuy » Thu Jul 16, 2009 5:22 pm

Does anyone know if it is possible to send commands to audacity from my own program? By commands I mean: create a new file, start and stop recording, and saving the file. Thanks for your help.

You can try it. Audacity uses timing to do stuff and that kills network operation, and may kill you, too.

I guess a better question is can audacity be controlled through a script or on the command line?
