DOH! i can't figure out how to remove the little red label flag. i have it in the wrong place.

The only way you can do this in 1.2 is to click your cursor at tthe right hand end of the label text - repeatedly hit the delete (backarrow) buton to remove each character - then one more delete (backarrow) to actually delet the label.

I tried that, and while the text is deleted, the label marker flag will not go away. Yikes!

Yikes indeed, I just tried it an I couldn't delete the label either. You can delete the whole label track and start again, but that is a bit drastic - click in the X at the top left of the label track.

What I would recommend is using 1.3.3 which has much better label handling (and some other cute new features too). If you are worried abouit the stability of 1.3, then you can always work your project in 1.2 untill editing is complete - all except the track labelling and multiple track export - then open up the project in 1.3 to mark the tracks and export.

You can have 1.2 and 1.3 quite safel6y and happily on the same computer - but note carefully that once a project has bee moved to 1.3 from 1.2 or created in 1.3 then it can never be opened in 1.2 again - I would recommend taking a backup copy of 1.2, before the transition to 1.3, under a slightly different filename so you can revert if necessary.

Personally I use 1.3 all the time for transcribing/cleaning LPs, tapes, MDs - and it has proved perfecttly stable for that over several months' usage.

thanks for this info. in the meantime i figure it out after you backspace and delete all the letters, you then hit ENTER and the label goes away. yippee. try it and see if it works for you. thanks for the input on the stability of 1.3. i think i will download it and give it a try.

Or you could delete all the text as mentioned above, then hit the ESC key.
