Hello,
I have a song that is spread out in about 50 little .ogg tracks.
When you play them in order (1.ogg, 2.ogg, 3.ogg, etc.) you get the song, but I just want a whole mp3.
Is there some way in Audacity that i'm not seeing, to import all the files in order as one track.
[1.ogg + 2.ogg + 3.ogg + etc.]
Because a hour of open, copy, paste, open, copy, paste, gets really lame.

How do I import and add to current track?
Forum rules
Audacity 1.2.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.
The final version of Audacity for Windows 98/ME is the legacy 2.0.0 version.

Did you try selecting all of them and Open With? Did you try it with Audacity 1.3? Audacity 1.3 has a lot more tricks with this than 1.2.
Even if they open up one above the other, Select-All, End, and Paste are all hot keys.
You could get sneaky and edit the AUP file.

This is a picture of a very simple AUP file. Note the music file piano2.wav and the directory path? Nothing is preventing you from editing that file to point to all your files one right after the other. Depending on how facile you are with a text editor, that could be simpler than cutting and pasting. You have to do it twice, once for left and again for right.

Re: How do I import and add to current track?
Well, Open With only opened the file I had right clicked on to press Open With on in the first place.
It didn't open the rest of the files I had selected.
Draging all the files into Audacity then selecting all and pasting to a new track only pastes the top track of the group and not the rest of them.
And if I just open them all with Audacity it opens a new window for each files and not one big long track like I want. So i'm still stuck with copying and pasting every file again.
Audacity wont even add a song file to the end of the current track when you drag it in which is so STUPID!!
It just adds it as another track....
None of these ways work in ether of the vrs I have (1.2.6, 1.3.7).
Also the editing the .aup file would take about the same time as copying and pasting.
