Cutting out vocals

Okay, I'm new to Audacity and having a lot of fun creating backing tracks of my favorite songs to play guitar to.

I was wondering though if there was a way to single out vocals from a song. You see, Fly On The Wall is my favorite AC/DC album but the production sucks. The biggest problem IMO is that the vocals are layered in reverb. So I would like to single them out and get rid of it if possible.

Thanks in advance for the help guys.

Lots of people had a go at making vocal isolation and vocal removal programs -- Audacity has one of its own, but the success rate isn't very high. One of the things among a very long list that kills vocal management is if the original production had effects and reverb added.....

I've tried those things and I just couldn't figure them out. Is there any way I could just remove the reverb from the vocals and make them louder in the mix?

In order to do something to the vocals you have to separate them from the rest of the mix.

Most times and for most songs, you can't do that.
