Hello Everyone,
I bought the Alesis Multimixer 8 USB 2.0 and I am having trouble getting a connection from my soundcard to my mixer to record audio. I am able to hook up the mixer to my PC and hear the music; however I can't record it to Audacity or Cubase LE 4.
Can anyone help?
Thanks.

The set-up for Cubase is completely different to set-up for Audacity. (Refer to the Cubase manual/forum for help with Cubase).
For setting up Audacity, download and install Audacity 1.3.7.
If Audacity 1.3.7 does not work straight away, go to the "Help" menu and click on "Audio Device Info". Copy and paste the output into your reply.

Ok, I am going to try the audacity version as I prefer to use that to record. How do I know which output to charge? I am still new to all this.
Thanks.

Ok, so I got the new audacity. Here is what I ended up with and with a little more information:
I connected my Alesis to my computer and I also use 2 mics. I got them to record fine and then when I tried to record the music from my PC I can it to play through my headset with like no cords attached; however I still can't get it to record. I only seem to be able to have either my mics being able to record or the music will record, but can't get them to record on the same page if you will.
Hopefully that's a little more info.
Thanks

Yes that's a little more info, but I can't see what you have connected, what sort of microphones, where they are plugged in....
Paint me a picture, I'm blind.
