I have a bunch of LPs from the '60s and '70s that I am trying to record before my wife throws 'em out. I did a sample of the album, Goodbye, with Cream, and I was able to get it converted to MP3, and when I play it back on my PC it's very shallow, and tinny sounding. Nothing like what comes out of the speakers. I checked a few messages on this board, and verified I have the settings correct (I think), so I need some help figuring out what I need to do so the recording sounds as full as the sound through the speakers.
I'm using XP, and have the iTTUSB05 connected via USB cable.
Thanks much for any/all help.

You have two contradicting symptoms. Tinny vinyl usually means that you're recording the straight sound from the record and not the sound run through a Phono Preamp which straightens that problem out (the famous RIAA equlization curve).
You also used the USB connection which doesn't have that problem.
It's possible you're trying to record the show from the turntable and the show from the computer playback system at the same time. That's easy to do on Windows machines.
Here's a thing from the Audacity Wiki. See if any of this helps.

Koz,
Thanks for the link, I realized that some of my preferences weren't set right, and once corrected, the sound is what it should be.
I really appreciate your super help on the forum.
