Audacity Forum

I have used audacity before but not for some time. I have had to reload the software and it does come up. When I put a talk show on the computer and then hit record I don't seem to be getting any wave lines. My input and output meters show red and green at low levels but I am not getting any sound on play back. Suggestions would be appreciated. FR

Audacity is something of a slave to the machine it's running on. In this case, you need to adjust the Windows Control Panels to record the machine speaker service -- sometimes called Mix-Out.
