Can't find my recordings and burn them to CD:s

Post by musikalskare » Sat Jun 20, 2009 7:44 pm

 First of all, I'm a genuin beginner so, please, forgive me for possible posting in a wrong environment.
My problem is that i have recorded all my old LP:s - a huge pile - and they have got the suffix "au" and it isn't recognized by either Windows Media Player or any other media player I've tried to use.
Furthermore, I can' t find them anywhere in Audacity but I see them in WMP and a few other media program, but can't edit them in those ones.
I hope I have explained my problems in an adequate way.
Would anyone please tell me how to convert my recordings to a valid file name for Windows Media Player?

Audacity does not Save sound files. When you get a show on your timeline that you like, Export As WAV and pull that real, actual sound file into your Music CD authoring software.

This process works better if Audacity Preferences are changed to 44100, 16-bit, Stereo. It's easier to make that into a CD.

Way down at the bottom of this...

...it will tell you how to hack up your export into individual songs, so you don't end up with one 80 minute song on your CD.
