My computer records mic and speakers, messes up multitrackin

Hi, I have this problem that whenever I try to multitrack, anything that is playing through the speakers (the tracks I already recorded) also get recorded into the new track. Is there any way to fix this?

All that craziness is buried in the Windows Control Panels.

Thanks, that helped solve my problem. Not sure exactly what I did, I just played around with those settings and it worked.
