Audacity 1.2.x is now obsolete. Please use the current Audacity 2.1.x version.

The final version of Audacity for Windows 98/ME is the legacy 2.0.0 version.

Recording time - Question

Post by charley » Thu Jun 18, 2009 7:51 pm

I am very illiterate about the operation of Audacity and have joined the Forum for a little help. I am trying to download vinyls to the computer. I'd like to know how to set the recording time to stop when the vinyl has reached the end. I figured it out once but forgot. I've looked through the tutorials where I found it once but can't seem to find it again. I want to set my recording time for say 30 minutes.....How do I do it? Thanks for the help and support!!

You need Audacity 1.3.7 and not Audacity 1.2.x - in 1.3 there is a new feature for Timer Recording ( from the Tracks menu orSHIFT+T is the k/b shortcut to invoke this).
