Okay here's the update. I uninstalled Ableton and installed the audio drives and now it works! Thanks for the help!
So Ableton was making my synth its b*tch. Good thing I just bought a seperate MIDI controller.

I see that Ableton Live is being bundled with several products now - was it included with your Novation?
