Hi, unsure if this is the correct forum. The audacity file is not opening the 25 minute or so file I made. The data files I have are working but there are over 100 12 second clips.
It will take me at least half an hour to merge it together in order. Is there a way to merge it back and make it sound like a normal file? I really dont want to manually put them back in order into one file...so time consuming.
thanks

That's because Audacity doesn't make sound files. Audacity makes -- Saves Projects which are multi-file production constructions suitable for complex editing. To get a single sound file you can email to your mum, Export one.
Projects are brittle and once made, you can't rename them or move them. The easiest way to make your project play again without crazy problems is to put back or undo whatever you did. Change the project name? Deadly. Move the show to a different drive? Kiss of death.
If you can't undo your changes or you don't remember what you did, then your only hope is Disaster Recovery.
