Can barely hear instrumentals through audacity..

Can barely hear instrumentals through audacity..

Hey guys, I have a problem here.

I use Windows XP and so far I have had NO problem at all recording. The quality of the mic and the playback is great but whenever i try to record instrumentals through audacity, when i play it back i can BARELY hear it.

Any suggestions would be nice for anyone who could help.

UPDATE: So far i found i can import the instrumental to audacity and it sounds well but it wont let me record at the same time..it says recording disabled at the bottom.
