Stereo files importing as mono

Every time I try to import an mp3 file, it imports it as mono, only playing the music from the left channel. The music comes through both speakers, but it only plays the music that was recorded into the left channel. How can I import a stereo file as a stereo file so that both channels come through?

Nevermind, I figured it out. You have to convert the mp3 files to .wav files.
