lost all of my menu options
i love using audacity to record the stereo mix, however one day poof the option was gone. ive tried uninstalling audacity and reinstalling and nothing. even installed to a new location. Am i doing something wrong?

Hmmm....not sure. I'm not real good with computers, especially Vista, but did you right-click on the Volume icon, Recording devices, Right-click in the Recording space- make sure "show disabled devices" is checked out? You should have the "Stereo Mix" option there somewhere. Though, my Vista doesn't have the Stereo Mix option.
