Audacity Messed Up My Sound On Whole Computer

Post by panicrocks331 » Mon Oct 15, 2007 5:30 pm

I used this program once, and when i tried to edit a song with the program it automatically opened up the song and put it in a slower playing mode, so now my whole computer sounds real low, and i dont know how to fix it. I also try to play a song on my music player and it plays real slow. How can i fix this?

First step is always to restart your machine, don't launch Audacity and see if the other players are still bad.

Is your hard drive filling up? Right click on the c: drive and select properties. An audio production machine should never be over 90% full.

Which Windows?

Audacity shows up in my Windows 2000 Add/Remove programs. Did you have any trouble installing it?

When was the last time you updated your virus signatures? System Scan?

Did you get Audacity from the SourceForge web site?

http://audacityteam.org/

And are you sure you're running the 1.2.x stable version?
