Can I separate two tracks

Post by revelasquez » Sat May 30, 2009 3:23 am

Please help...
Can I separate two tracks that were saved in one file?....

I did not close the first track before I started to record the second track and then saved the file with both separated tracks. Now when I play the piece, I only see one track and it is playing both music pieces at the same time. Is there a way to separate the two tracks? or delete the first track? I have Audacity 1.2.6 and Vista. I tried selecting and dragging the track but I have been unable to separate them. Is there a way to separate the tracks - Please help...

Thank you,

Ruben

No. Once you closed Audacity, that married the two shows forever. If you never close Audacity, you can UNDO your brains out to get back to the original two shows.

Thank you for the info, Koz.

Does Audacity 1.3.7 have any editing capabilities where I could super impose the original track-1 that I want to delete?

Thanks,

Ruben
