Reducing bass for Half Life DJ

Hello hello fine users of this forum! I've come asking about converting audio for use with a program called Half Life DJ (Link removed). It allows you to play sound over the ingame voice chat. Each sound / song I want to play has to be converted by hand - this is where Audacity comes into play. The game plays mono 16 bit 11025hz wavs... and they need to be pretty quiet (reference pics below). Now I've began to play them a bit, but the metal and rock songs have too much bass, as people are saying.

So my question is: How can I reduce bass in audacity? I searched and such but I don't think what I'm asking has really been answered, because I tried those solutions and it didn't work. A friend told me to just use GoldWave, but I insisted that Audacity was capable of it. I looked around in Audacity 1.2.6 (with that 90+ plugin pack, but I don't think I found anything in there), and Audacity 1.3.7 stock.

This is a forum run for and by Audacity users. Audacity is free software and it is unrealistic to expect someone to be waiting on-line 24 hours a day for you to post your question.

The answer to your question is to use the Equalizer effect from the Effects menu.
