Hey folks......
I've created some audacity files (individual tracks of a song) that I'm attempting to convert to wav files......each audacity file is about 2min30secs long, but when I attempt to "capture" them as wav files and save them onto a floppy, the wav file's only a partial representation (about 2-7 secs each).....
what am I doing wrong?
Thanks,
mahano

You need to use "Export" (File menu) to create a normal audio file.

Also, note that a 2mins 30 second WAV file at CD quality will be about 25 MB and will not fit on a floppy disk. The maximum length WAV file that you can fit onto a floppy disk at CD quality is about 8 seconds.

If you install the "Lame" encoder and export as an MP3 file, the size will be around 3MB, which is still twice as big as the capacity of a floppy disk. If the track is mono and you Export as MP3 with a high compression amount (small file but low quality) you should be able to just about squeeze it onto a floppy disk.
