Audacity Forum

I'm using Audacity for the first time........ first song opened to work on comes into the program, , but when hiting the PLAY button, its playback is probably 3 seconds long...
Can someone guide me on this.........?

Audacity doesn't like to play all music formats. If you try to play some of the oddball formats, like Apple AAC (iPod), the song will play very rapidly.

That's why it's happening. I don't know enough about the Windows tools to tell you how to convert. Something inside Windows Media?
