"Stereo Mix" silent on Acer Aspire One

Post by NemoYocto » Sat May 16, 2009 2:00 am

I recently switched to an Acer Aspire One D150 with Realtek HD Audio, and was happy to find that "Stereo Mix" was an option (I had to use a workaround on my old laptop).

However, when I select "Stereo Mix" as my audio input Audacity does not record anything - just silence. The Mic works fine, but Stereo Mix gives me nothing. I have Stereo Mix selected for Realtek HD Audio Input, and the volume is up, but Audacity doesn't pick up or record anything.

Thanks in advance for any help you might be able to provide! :D

Try it with Audacity 1.3.7 it works on my machine.
I'm using an Acer Aspire 5735, Vista Home (dual boot with Ubuntu) and Realtek HD Audio and Audacity 1.3.7. Stereo Mix works on both operating systems.
If you still have problems with 1.3.7, I'll go through all the settings on my computer and I imagine they will be the same on yours.

Thanks! I forgot to mention I was using v.1.2.6. It works on 1.3.7, just like you said.

Issue resolved.
